Paul DeMar Jr., 89, of Belton, passed away Nov. 7, 2018, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.
Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. Sabina Catholic Church with Funeral Mass to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Belton Cemetery, Belton.

Paul was born on Oct. 9, 1929, in Kansas City, Mo. He was the son of Paul DeMar Sr. and Josephine Girratono. Growing up, Paul had a brother named Earl. After high school Paul served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean war.
After his time in the military, Paul made a career as a sheet metal worker, working for Gieske Sheet Metal Co. from 1953 to 1988. In the fall of 1953 on Sept. 22, Paul was joined in marriage with his wife Cheryl in Reno, Nev. Together they were blessed with son, Gary; and four daughters, Lynn, Liane, Lisa, and Michelle.
In addition to loving his family, Paul also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and painting.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Paul Sr. and Josephine DeMar; brother Earl DeMar; and two son in laws, Robert Kenslow and Craig Cattelino.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Cheryl DeMar; son Gary DeMar (Nancy); four daughters Lynn Lindsey (Mark), Liane Cattelino, Lisa Kenslow, and Michelle Loya (Ramon); nine grandchildren Ryan, Jayson, Brian (Carrie), Michael, Brianna, Katie (Josh), Alexis, Marisa, and Danielle.
