Brenda Kay Jackson

Brenda Jackson, of Belton, entered into paradise on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022.

Brenda, born April 14, 1949, was a retired hairdresser and housekeeper, but her true calling was being a devout grandma. To have involved and active grandparents is a treasure and, by those standards, she was a bright and shining diamond. She was an excellent cook, a wonderful friend, a lover of family get-togethers, a guardian of her “pet” squirrels and a truly good person casting light in a dark world.

Brenda is survived by two sons Earl and Jeff Jackson; stepdaughter Dianna (Cricket) Jackson and stepson Curtis Jackson; sisters Tina Weaver and Mavis Barksdale, brother Stanley Myers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Brian Jackson, husband Curtis (Pee-Wee) Jackson, parents Margaret and Thaddeus Myers, a brother Steve Myers and sister Carol Dodson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Freedom Point Church, 212 Main St B, Garden City, Mo., on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3 pm.
